This new legislation seems to have gone unnoticed by most businesses so I thought I’d give it a quick mention.
The Companies Act of 1985 already requires that a company’s name should appear clearly in all its business letters, cheques and other documents. But from 1 January 2007, a company’s name should also appear clearly on all its websites. Also, the company’s business letters, order forms and websites have to include fuller particulars, namely:

• the company’s place of registration and registered number
• the address of its registered office
• in the case of an investment company, the fact that it is such a company

I’m currently redeveloping the Daltons-Law website from the ground up using XHTML CSS and a CMS Blog based news section.

Daltons are a dynamic and forward thinking firm of solicitors based in Petersfield. They specialise in commercial and domestic law. Working with them is a treat as they’re some of the friendliest people you could wish to meet!

The new site will launch before the end of February.

It’s been ages since I last shot any photography. And it’s definitely not the best time of year to shoot outdoors, bloomin’ freezing and gloomy.

Visiting the Winter Garden at Hillier’s in Romsey revealed some interesting colour palettes and threw up some oddities including an Earthstar.

Over the last couple of months I’ve been putting together a website design for a new venture by Vosper Thornycroft Group. The new project called Solent Synergy aims to promote the development of technological industry by partnering with universities, private companies and other enterprise groups.

Work includes development of an online identity, artwork, site layout and template files for a database driven content management system.

Dan and Carl at Sifer have just released Pseudonym Issue 2.5 over Christmas alongside the launch of the website we’ve been developing to help support the project. Pseudonym Magazine is a creative project looking at underground cultures and providing a platform for artists, writers, designers, photographers, illustrators, animators and film makers to show their work and discuss ideas.
