We’ve recently been working with INK to develop their online identity and launch a CMS website to feature their latest work. INK are a London based studio that use digital illustration and animation to tell stories and bring ideas to life. Posted above is their recent CG film for Silverstone Race Circuit to promote the new pit, paddock and race facilities.

“We use digital illustration and animation to capture the atmosphere and emotion of an idea, space or event. INK is a digital workshop where what we create defines our studio.”

I really like this sequence of language videos from EF Language Schools. A collaboration between Gustav Johansson, Niklas Johansson, Albin Holmqvist and Camp David the videos combine evocative film with beautiful typography. Nice soundtracks too. I’m not sure which my favorite is (3 more over the fold). Continue Reading

The videos shot for Mutiny bikes by Joe Simon are great. A combination of stunningly shot video (including super8 and 5DmkII) and crazy riding skills in breathtaking locations. They’ve just got a really nice feel to them that make you want to get on your bike. It’s funny when you look at Joe Simon’s main work shooting weddings, a real contrast in content but the same beautiful aesthetic.

We’ve been working on the Star Wars branding with Locutio Voice Technologies and Lucas Film for the Yoda voice product launch. To coincide with the product launch TomTom have created a new viral video deployed on YouTube. The video features Yoda in the recording studio delivering his lines for the GPS, quite funny. Dagobah!

adidas has teamed up with  Lucas Film  to push their Star Wars Originals collection. They’ve just released this two minute advert which features Snoop Dogg, Daft Punk, David Beckham, Jay Baruchel, Ciara, and Noel Gallagher in the Mos Eisley Cantina Scene from Star Wars. Snoop Dogg reaching for his Light Sabre is definitely one thing I thought I’d never see!  The advert doesn’t feature any trainers, just a few instances of the Adidas logo on T-shirts. See the video over the fold.

We’ve recently been working with Locutio Voice Technologies and TomTom to release the first in a series of licensed Star Wars voices for the TomTom GPS. The first product release is the  Darth Vader VoiceSkin which launched on May the 4th (Star Wars day) and has been received really well. The voices are all authentic and produced by Locutio in partnership with Lucas Film. The Voices also include real sound effects from the original Star Wars films. A great project to be involved with.

There are two viral videos below the fold so click ‘continue reading’ to watch them, Darth Vader in the Recording Studio is very funny! Here’s a quick sample of the on device audio:

Nike have definitely ramped things up in a big way for the 2010 World Cup. This 3 minute advert has just rolled out online to great acclaim. Directed by Hollywood director and producer Alejandro G. Iñarritu (21 Grams, Babel), the film shows split second moments and how timelines in a match can go in two directions for both football players and fans.

A follow up to the sci-fi film Tron seems like a very good idea. Almost 30 years have past but hopefully this classic film will be done justice. Both in terms of narrative and recreating the aesthetic of the original film that was streets ahead of it’s time in terms of special effects. It’s definetely a film I’m looking forward to this Christmas.

This is a really nice piece of self promotion motion graphics by Alex Roman titled The Third & The Seventh. I recently found myself revisiting it a number of times, there’s something mystical about it. If you haven’t seen it before make sure you hit the fullscreen button!
