Here’s wishing everybody a very happy new year! 2010 was a great year with new collaborations and clients from a number of different industries. 2011 promises to be a great year with a number of interesting new projects already in the works.
Top of our resolutions list is ‘Update our portfolio’ closely followed by ‘Create more Self Initiated Projects’ and ‘Blog More’. Hopefully we’ll stick to doing them this year!
I’m loving these retro artworks by Spanish illustrator Gianmarco Magnani. Really beautiful combinations of technical manual style and evocative water painted scenes. Some of it’s very ‘Akiraesque’. You can also buy the prints in his online shop, very tempting!

I’m a convert, I’ve taken the plunge and switched to WordPress. Having experimented with Blogger I made the decision to upgrade to WordPress and host my own blog directly on the Agent8 site.
It’s taken a couple of weeks of tinkering to implement but it’s definitely worth the effort. I’ve converted the existing news content into blog entries for archiving purposes and can now start blogging about work and design on a regular basis.
I’m lucky to be working with Gary Ward to develop his new Communications Consultancy website. Gary is a forward looking creative communications consultant who has been blogging for some time with Blogger. As part of the project brief I’ll be skinning his Blog to fit into his new online identity.
This has prompted me to start doing a standalone Blog outside of the various creative community sites I’m involved in. Hopefully I’ll be strict enough to post on a regular basis my thoughts on graphic design, the projects I’m working on and samples of work that doesn’t feature on the Agent8 Design website. It will also allow me to get up to date with skinning a Blogger site from the ground up.
